Yes, I'm Proud '90s Kid

I grew up in Libis, Quezon City, Metro Manila where everyone knew each other and treated each other like family. Everyone's mom was called tita/auntie even if they were not related 👫 or Manang Viring with respect. We went outside to play on the streets, we got dirty till the sun goes down. We didn't eat fast food🍟🍔 we ate freshly home made food.  We got ice cream 🍦from the ice cream man that rings the bell when passing the streets or a home made ice candy straight from the freezer. We played teks (nope, it's different from the 'text' that younger generation know nowadays), sipa 👣, jolens (marbles), spider fights, cha-tong, Hedge hopping 🌳, Basketball🏀 , Patintero, jumping rope, luksong tinik, Chinese Garter, sipa, bahay-bahayan (where someone pretends to be mom dad and children) and many more. Oh and we would make our own toys such wooden trucks made of scrap wood blocks using tansan (bottle caps) as wheels, or sarangolas (kites) and spike ...
